An artist book "THIS LAND" with orginal cyanotype artworks as the 12 pages and fronts and ends pieces in custom binding by Charlene Matthews

THIS LAND are original one of a kind cyanotype prints  made as part of THE JEMEZ PROJECT of desert vegetation. The pages are pressed against the plant, or snuggled between branches and the exposure is made by the sun. Often the pages are ripped by the wind, or punctured by the sharp point of the desert plant, and these features are part of the book. The exposed binding is custom made by  Charlene Matthews, BINDERY, LA. in response to the materiality of the rivesBFK paper. 
Book pages are 30" high by 22" wide closed, and 30" high by 45" wide when opened.  JULY 2017
